Hello and thanks for visiting April30th.org, home page of Pasadena therapist Petar Sardelich LMFT/PT/MAC. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#44180), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (PT25861), and Masters level Addictions Counselor (#5442). Since 1984, I’ve provided mental health services for adults and adolescents both inpatient and/or outpatient settings. As such, I have a varied experience with abuse, trauma, depression, grief/loss, issues of personal growth, relationships, anxiety, stress, and mental illness. I have also worked extensively with addictions (of all types) and related issues (“codependency”, eating disorders, alcoholism, dual diagnosis…).
My responsibilities have ranged from Licensed Psychiatric Technician (where much of my experience in mental health and medications comes from), to direct care counselor and therapist, to Quality Director, to Program Director, to Assistant Administrator. Currently I’m in private practice, teaching, providing clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists, providing staff training and consultation. In the interest of our efforts to “put ourselves out of a job”, there’s lots of content available on the site. Content to help people get to know us, content that serves the aforementioned effort. There’s what we hope is practical and principled information available to current and prospective clients, students, professionals new and old. Please have a look around- we hope the perspectives are helpful in some way.
Am happy to note as well that in order to provide a broader range of services, and serve people whom it might be difficult otherwise, we’ve added a low-cost component! We’ve taken on a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, Sarah Wood MS, MFTI (#66300). Sarah is providing low cost and sliding scale services for children, adolescents, and adults. As a dear friend to Petar for the past seventeen years and a colleague for the last several I can suggest with humble confidence that he will offer each individual a compassionate, trustworthy, and ethically sound environment to embrace what they are actually capable of through their work with him. I would suggest to any potential clients that you will experience the significant reduction and even complete eradication of any pervasive and debilitating symptoms which may have initially brought you to the work. Bring all of your experience to the work and you will begin to discover that you can become your own source of courage, hope, and competence.
